Idunno... He told a buncha lies the other night too. Maybe it's not his nose, but his ears that grow.
waltspecht 7 months ago
A statement like that indicates he feels he knows more than most what is good for them. Problem is in many cases his ideas and solutions are just plain wrong if not down right on the verge of illegal.

So the GOP provides a great alternative in a liberal candidate who masqerades as a conservative voted against Ronald Reagan, wants to increase taxes on households earning $100 K and start two more wars in the middle east (using our sons and daughters while his go to the French Riviera on mission trips).
Write in Ron Paul - bring our men and women home. Create a rational energy policy to make us petro independent. Send the UN packing. He is the only rational candidate.
chinaberry25 7 months ago
If Ron Paul was so great, then why did he not run when he was younger? I do like some of his ideas, but he is mostly hot air and little substance.
waltspecht 7 months ago
Support the John Birch Society, for every time you state something about Ron Paul it is like I were attending a Birch meeting.
FryarTuk 7 months ago
waltspecht, we don't remember the same John Birch Society. The JBS I recall was a conspiracy driven organization that was very non-disclosing of its inner circle that was focused on communistic world domination by whomever. Quite the contrary to Dr. Paul, the Birchers wanted a fresh war every morning and the more nuclear, the better. Paul really thinks it's due to misguided political assumptions and misplaced economic loyalties. The Birchers did want to get out of the UN and that is similar also I think they wanted to spend less money on foreign aid, except when they could bomb someplace. Hell, that sounds more like W, Rummy, Condi, Wolfie and Cheney. But none dare call it treason.

You ever think of doing a fact check? It is a wonderful thing and you can learn a lot too.
http://www.politifact.com/personalities/john-birch-society/
FryarTuk 7 months ago
Frankly, I neve thought of a John Bircher fact check. I was only replying to waltspecht to note that I don't understand his confusing John Birch Society with Ron Paul. I did attend some Birch meetings for a political science research project during about the time Larry McDonald, MD was a US Rep for Cobb area. I always wondered if his being a urologist impacted his political ideas. That man had a withering canned speech he could deliver at a moment's notice. He was dispatched by a North Korean attack on a South Korean jet when he was going to some Asian conference. I just don't get the JBS association waltspeck reports.
Cranky 7 months ago
It was for walt.......he seems to get his facts mixed and messed up. I have been gone for a year and it is hard to get back into the routine of how the reply button works...sorry about the confusion. Will try to do better next time. But I don't see a thing wrong with educating the general public on facts, do you?
RedEric 7 months ago
Our disagreements with the Muslims began under President Jefferson. You could probably get along with them if you went in and whacked them good every 5 or 10 years. They respect that. Our problem is we don't fight wars anymore, we conduct police actions. ROE's get our guys killed while protecting the " innocent". Give me a break. If our government sends our young men and women into a war they must have the right to kill everyone in front of them. That saves lives....ours not theirs.
FryarTuk 7 months ago
Red, the key is to keep your young men and women at home. Don't start unnecessary conflicts. Don't nation build with the miliary. Keep our nose out of other countries busines unless it is critical to our well being. I do agree with you, when we fight, throw the whole damned arsenal at them. Washington said, "beware foreign entanglements." TR said "walk softly and carry a big stick!" Daddy Bush and Colin Powell's Doctine of Overwhelming Force is the strategy for war!
waltspecht 7 months ago
Look it up in Wikipedia. Seems to run close to the Libertarian Party these days. Also seems to parallel Ron Paul pretty closely. No, it isn't the old bunch with the council of ten anymore.
Cranky 7 months ago
My god, do you actually use Wikipedia as a source of reliable information....hahaha.....you have got to be kidding me. I bet you also think Fox News is a reliable source of news and information..hahaha. Wikipedia is written by hundreds of thousands of people worldwide and a lot of the information is wrong. Do a ask.com search..just go to the web site and type in the question...."who writes for Wikipedia and do they give incorrect information" and wait for the replies.........scroll down and wait till you find an interesting one and go check them out. You will be surprised at some of them. And to think you thought all along the information you got was the real thing...haha..SMH....haha. Oh and about the Fox thing. Do you know who owns Fox News? Rupert Murdoch is the largest stockholder, an Australian citizen, followed by Prince Al-Waleed of Saudi Arabia, who holds 7% of News Corp which is the parent company of Fox News, and Murdoch owns News Corp. Do some reseach, please, it is very easy. So your news is actually controlled by 2 men.

chinab, Paul was practicing medicine and serving as a military doc part of the time in the war torn mideast while your boy Mittens was serving as a missionary in France and Obama was community organizing. He ran in the past for POTUS but as you know the name of the game is multinational corporation money and he don't play that game. He relies on people with reason and conscience which certainly excludes you.
Shinedownfan 7 months ago
Are you the guy who used to work at Publix and park in my parking spot all the time? He is the only person I know who was nuts about Ron Paul.
FryarTuk 7 months ago
No, but I can see why a working man would support Ron Paul.
SweetPea 7 months ago
FryarTuk, I can see why someone would SUPPORT Ron Paul, and even vote for him in the primary. But a write-in vote for him now is just a vote for Obama.
alleebrin 7 months ago
EXACTLY!
VSU 7 months ago
Ditto! It's a mute point! If America wanted Ron Paul, they would have voted him in during the last election as well.
FryarTuk 7 months ago
No, no it is not. A vote for Romney or Obama is a vote for the same old, same old. It is a vote of convenience because you should have been working last year to change the corrupt two party system. The more votes which move away from the SOS the more the politicians realize they gotta change.
SweetPea 7 months ago
Oh, FryarTuk means, we need more than two viable parties. OK I'll get in my time machine and tell the Whigs and Tories that.
chinaberry25 7 months ago
What Obama is not telling you us that his second term will not be like his first. The first is money will be cut back from deadbeats. Folks who refuse to work! There will be very few handouts and maybe he will make a better second term president than a first. As far as Romney goes, then there is very little you can say negative about him. If he was Catholic, then he ought to be pope. I just wish most folks were like him and we would not have to be in this mess. As far as the rich go, it is the greed of the USA that wants their money. I know a family who has both parents and 3 kids. They do not work and get $7000 back on their taxes, plus all the handouts. So why is it wrong to society that a rich person who pays millions in taxes on their hard earned money are greedy if they want to keep more of it while this shiftless deadbeat pays nothing and lives off the sweat of the brow of hard workers of every class and race. The mindset of most Americans is the rich are bad. No, if we did not have the rich we would still be living in caves or the jungle.

.... People that would vote for Ron Paul are sooo smug ... They somehow feel superior to others ... However, the REAL TRUTH is that they live in an alternate universe where common sense / logic has no place. .... Example: "Bring our men & women home" ... Ha! ... Leave them over there (like Korea) and have them rotate tours of duty(like Korea) .... People that make these statments forget about an ALL VOLUNTARY military and that EVREYONE of the volunteers accepts these possibilities ... and the possibilities of war. .... We live in "Realville" here! ....
FryarTuk 7 months ago
We do have an all volunteer army because we fought against military impression in 1776. Did you take American history? A volunteer military is not, I repeat not a mercenary force with which you are obviously confused. Simply because a person volunteers to serve his country doesn't give you or the POTUS the right to abuse or misuse their service. You are promoting a pretty dangerous concept of military and military intervention. In fact what you are proposing is antithetical to the Jeffersonian principles of Americanism. We all accept the responsibility of our choices but to deliberately place people in harms way without considering reality or consequences of decisions is absolutely crazy. An all volunteer military does not justify armed adventurism and nation building.

chinab says, "As far as Romney goes, then there is very little you can say negative about him." Let's see, he is a pluperfect hypocrite. Just shake his etch-a-sketch pad and you'll come up with a new reality for him. He wants to increase taxes for families earning $100K while decreasing millionaire's taxes. He perfected Obamacare. He ran to the left of Ted Kennedy in his 1994 senate campaign. He demanded Kennedy release his tax returns calling him pretty much everything in the book. Where are Mittens' tax returns. He was for abortion, equal rights for gays, etc. etc. Now he back peddles. He changes his mind from one day to the next on the Lily Ledbetter law. He insults our allies, the Jewish culture (they are a culture of money you know), Poland etc. etc. He calls veterans, retirees and workers deadbeats who take no responsibility for themselves. He killed jobs in MA and as far as Bain that's another pot of coffee. The real bottom line about Mitt Romney is his total inability to understand where people and reality exist. Can you really vote for a stupid fool who will tie his dog to the roof of his car and drive for 12 hours, stop to hose loose poop from the dog and car while making his family remain inside the vehicle. Then declared the dog liked it. If you vote to elect a person like that you don't have much to recommend for your reason. He would be elected pope, hell, he couldn't get elected dog catcher in Boca with that record.
ObjectiveEyes 7 months ago
Democratic talking points. You really should view something other than MSNBC.
Also, Romney's dog rode on top of the car (something I don't personally condone), but, Obama admittedly ATE dog when he was a child. Now, I ask you, with all other things remaining the same, which man do YOU trust?
FryarTuk 7 months ago
ObjectinEyes, My point exactly. There isn't a dimes worth of difference in the two. You can have them both. A twofur. What a deal you have made off with.

Obama's current TV commercial needs to be revised to say "Our enemies were brought to justice but they are not defeated yet as they are rebuilding. The last thing we need to do is continue our victory dance and ignore this still dangerous organization"

No Velvet .......Obama will win and you will cry.....I cant wait...
VSU 7 months ago
My comment had nothing to do with who wins or loses numbnuts, but it is easy to understand since you don't have anything upstairs. BTW Be quiet coach and get back on your see-saw.
We know how well you are on predictions, you said the Braves would not come close to making the playoffs....wrong. You said Murfree had nothing to worry about that his job was safe.........Wrong. So perhaps you will be wrong about Obuma winning as well, but if Obuma wins you won't catch me crying, and if Romney wins unlike you, you won't see me acting like a 5 year old on the blogs.
You need to grow up coach, i have nieces that are 2, 3, 6, 9 & 12 years old that act more mature than you do.

Is BSR still continuing is three screen name masquerade? I bet after Romney is elected and Murfree is fierd, all three of his screen names disappear!!

I have a notion that Johnson is a bald, pot bellied, white man, pretending to be an ignorant black person. Nobody can be this stupid and still be able to read the paper and make comment. I remember a post he made sometime back when someone asked his credentials and he said he was schooled in hard living or some crap like that. So now he is saying he is a graduate of ASC(sic). Yet he as never really answered the questions of credentials, kind of like his hero Barak, he has not really proved credentials either.
