ALBANY — Dougherty County School Superintendent Joshua Murfree lacks the support from the Dougherty County School Board to have his contract renewed, The Albany Herald has learned Thursday.

Running back J.T. Edore from Westwood School won the Albany Herald's Week 7 Player of the Week poll with 54 percent of the total numer of votes cast. The other nominees were: Albany High Quarterback Emanuel Byrd, Miller County Running Back Marvin Grant and Monroe High defensive tackle Cortez Banks.
