I am a new resident in Dougherty County. I recently realized I have plans to be out of town on November 6, so I was pleased to learn about early voting. I cast my vote today.
There was a steady flow of voters, but the process was quick and efficient. I did see one thing on the ballot that could be confusing to some people. In the race for School Board, there is a write-in candidate. If you want to cast a vote for Lane Price, the candidate listed on the ballot, you must put the X by her name.
This is an important election on the local, state and national level. Please take your responsibility to vote seriously. If you have any doubt about your schedule on November 6, I encourage you to take advantage of early voting.
