BLAKELY -- Mrs. Mary Lou Swords, 70, of Arlington, GA died suddenly in the ER at Phoebe-Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA on Saturday, October 20, 2012.

Her funeral will be Wednesday morning, October 24, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Arlington Baptist Church with Dr. Gary Hadden officiating. The burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, October 23, 2012 from 6 until 8 PM at Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home in Blakely, GA. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Joshua and Jonathan Hyde, Stephen and Alex Wilson, McKay Pleasant and a nephew, Jordan Trawick.

Mrs. Swords was born October 26, 1941 in Blakely, GA to the late Winston Leroy Miller and Ollie Cleveland Miller. She was retired as an Office Manager for Doctors Jennings and Lassiter. She was a member of the Arlington Baptist church.

Her survivors include her husband, Wyatt Hoyt Swords of Arlington, GA; her son, Gary W. Swords and wife Pam of Arlington; and her daughter, DeWana S. Hyde and husband Joe of Leesburg, GA; she has five grandchildren, Joshua Hyde- Valdosta, GA, Jonathan Hyde- Leesburg, GA, Stephen Wilson- Clayton, GA, Alex Wilson- Gainesville, GA and McKay Pleasant- Arlington, GA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given in memory of Mrs. Swords to the Arlington Baptist Church.
