Squawk of the day - Oct. 23, 2012

"People that say gas prices are down and there is positive job growth are delusional. People are still losing jobs; gas prices are still high. The Obama crew only spreads these lies because it is election time."

WHATS WITH ALL THE SQUAWKS ABOUT OBAMA/ROMNEY?

VSU 2 years, 2 months ago

Well gas prices are dropping a little, but for how long? It willl just drop down so it can rise back up again. We need consistancy. We need it to go down and stay down. It is getting close to Santa Claus season and I need some Santa Claus money so I can buy some Santa Claus christmas gifts.

They are dropping because of the switch to winter blend.

this is bad news for Repubs.....

0

Fletch 2 years, 2 months ago

The fact that it has risen 100% since Barak Hussein's regime took over is da real "bad news" .... for everyone, yo.

VSU 2 years, 2 months ago

Gas could go up to $8.00 a gallon and coach dumb@$$ would still support Obuma. Course coach doesn't have to worry about gas prices. That rusty toy wagon he rides around in doesn't require gas.

VSU 2 years, 2 months ago

Shut up coach, nobody asked you!

If the prices are too high, don't buy gas. That is truely the only way prices will go down. It is an alternative not a whole lot of people like, but it is the answer. I lay out my route to and from work so I can stop and get what I need without an additional trip and additional milage. If work were closer, the roads safer and I alot younger, I would ride a bike. As it is I limit my vehicle use to essential travel only. Afterall, without a job I really couldn't afford the price of gas.

There was a man last week that spoke of this. He is head of some gas producing agency. He said in 2009 he met with Obama and said you have to continue to encourage producing more gas and drilling. He disagreed and gave 1/2 trillion to this green energy, We know what happened there. Now we are paying the price and we should not be complaining. It is mostly Obamas fault. So you folks that just love him in Albany, if he is re elected, better sell that Expedition because it will cost you $150/week to drive it. But you love paying for gas because you worship Obama. You have his picture all over the schools.

Coachjohnson, before you start to boast, why don't you read a REAL synopsis by REAL professionals on last night's debate? This is about 7 hours old and will be updated thru the day. It is bipartisan and will give you a very clear picture of what was actually said at the debate and is written in simple English and will be very easy for you and others to understand. Please stay away from Fox News. They are so partisan it is pathetic. At least at factcheck.org you are getting the whole debate, and as I say, it is bipartisan, and everyone can understand it, I hope.

Coach, seriously, you sound like a 15 year old watching pro wrestling. Be honest, though, would you give a rat's butt one way or the other if B.O. were not half black?

Last night's debate revealed rather reinforced two things - Mitt Romney works both sides of the street better than any politician in US history and there is absolutely no difference in these two presidential candidates. Not a whit, not a molecule, zilch, nada, zero. Admittedly one of them has a better tan and that has set some folks off. Obama is right Mitt's team are the same folks that put us in our current crisis, militarily, diplomatically and financially. But on the other had we are still in it after 4 years with him. We don't have a snowball's chance in improving our lot with either one of these dandies. Make your vote count write in Ron Paul the one who will make a positive difference.

0

VSU 2 years, 2 months ago

Why would anybody in their right mind vote for Ron Paul as a write in? He wouldn't have a ghost of a chance of winning.

1

Fletch 2 years, 2 months ago

Ron Paul is a goon and hasn't the intelligence to compete at this level. ... Don't know which debate you were watching but, like most, you are sadly illinformed. ... Another example of why no minds were made up regarding debate#2, or debate#3. ... In the spirit of Halloween ... The wooden stake was driven through the heart of evil in the very first debate ... it is all over but the shoutin'. ... ROMNEY IN A LANDSLIDE!!! ... Book it, yo!..

0

alleebrin 2 years, 2 months ago

Geez, how dumb can one voter be! Don't you know what happens when votes are give to a write-in? You might as well vote for Obummer!! I sure hope there are not a lot of voters out there with your narrow vision!

0

Cartman 2 years, 2 months ago

Yeah. Write in Ron Paul. Obama thanks you.

Shut up coach, it was an even debate, and this squawk isn 't about the debate, get back on your rocking horse and set off in the sunset and don't come back.

Coach...... Just wondering. Do you ever get tired of hearing yourself talk garbage?

2

VSU 2 years, 2 months ago

He lies awake at night thinking up new garbage, which is odd, he has been talking the same garbage for the past year.

If you tell someone that a negative is positive long enough and loud enough, they will eventually believe it. BO has lied to the American people for so long that even he believes his lies to be the truth. Wait until after the election, then you will see gas prices soar and the minimum wage jobs will disappear....

1

ustaknow 2 years, 2 months ago

The government never will spend more efficiently than the private sector. The reason is simple. Private sector spends on things like groceries grown in USA or t-shirts made in America creating demands for sustainable jobs based off real demand for goods and services. The government by contrast spends on things like cash for clunkers, money for Solyndra, or GSA Las Vegas conventions that create temporary jobs at best and leave private sector with a large tax bill. This is why I fail to see why democrats hate tax cuts so much. Obama did not want to extend the Bush tax cuts at all and then he only wanted one year. Now all the sudden he wants to extend them permanently? LOL, does anybody really believe this?

Cash for clunkers , GSA , Solyndra on one end or real demand based off efficient spending of private sector. This is why the tax cuts are so important

1

VSU 2 years, 2 months ago

That's right, Go Obuma and don't come back.

0

tduncanspradley 2 years, 2 months ago

It has been said the biggest threat to the American way of life is not the threat of foreign military power, the sluggish economy, "made in China," global warming, etc., but the ignorance of its people! I have to agree!

2

FryarTuk 2 years, 2 months ago

To have American petro independence you have to elect a president that is not owned by the petro companies - multinational corporations. Both of the birds running have "SOLD" signs on them. Romney more so than Obummer otherwise he would have put his tax returns out just like he demanded of Ted Kennedy in 1996 and his father did before him. Ron Paul will move this country into an all American produced petro base and will change the currency back to a gold standard. Those two things will stabilize our economy significant.y. Obummer was right Romney was all over the map on his positions. He reversed himself on almost every one of his foreign policy positions. I'll bet old John Bolton (fresh war every morning) chewed his mustache off. There was really not anybody for Obummer to debate because Mittens abandoned his entire foreign policy and agreed with everything the president has done. And some of you guys think this was a draw? If his goal was not to switch feet too often, you might be right.

Write in Ron Paul he's not forsale.

We should all be praying that the right person for the job is elected. Not the right color, not who is going to give us a free gift along with the free lies.

1

Cranky 2 years, 2 months ago

Well I am registered to vote in Virginia and have brought my absentee ballot with me on my trip down here but have not made a decision yet on how to mark it. It is very hard to decide. I have voted by absentee ballot for nearly all my adult life and cannot remember a decision as hard as this one in a long time. Yes, cfcarroll64, I do hope the right person gets elected but how soon after the election will we know we made the right choice and how will we know?

What they are not telling you, if you work for a small business your hours will be cut to 28 hours per week. That is considered part time and no insurance. So get ready, it is already into play.

Sister_Ruby 2 years, 2 months ago

We talk a lot about the lies this Administration tells about the economy, but last week, we got a whopper. Here's the president on the campaign trail talking about TARP. “We got back every dime we used to rescue the financial system, but we also passed a historic law to end taxpayer-funded Wall Street bailouts for good. “

Actually, of the $604 Billion that was given to 926 entities......over $170 Billion is still owed from Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, General Motors, GMAC (Ally Financial), as well as a slew of other smaller banks and financial institutions.
