SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Lee County native Phillip Phillips will sing the national anthem for game one of the World Series according to his website.
The American Idol winner is in the midst of promoting his new album and will make a spate of Late Night television appearances in the run up to the performance.
He'll join fellow Lee County native Buster Posey, the star catcher for the Giants, on the field to open game one.

Luke Bryan sang at the All Star game and he didn't forget the words. Just had them written down so he would not forget. Go Phillip and Buster! Proud of you!

You are right VSU, Luke did sing at All Star game and @Truth101- he did not forget the words. He wrote them down just in case. So all these people(fryartuk) who don't keep up with ourt hometown stars don't really need to post any negative comments and make up stuff. Go Phillip, Buster, and Luke!
