Town Hall meeting about new open records law

ALBANY, Ga. — Albany City Attorney Nathan Davis plans to discuss a new state law dealing with government open meetings and open records at City Commissioner Jon Howard’s 10 a.m. Saturday town hall meeting.

Howard said that Davis will answer questions at the meeting on what the new law includes, how it affects elected officials and government staff, and how it could affect residents. The meeting at the East Albany Community Center, 1721 E. Oglethorpe Blvd., is open to the public.

Don't forget to send Murfree a copy of the guidelines. Better yet, Davis better go over there personally and read it to him and explain each and every important point so Murfree won't be able to say "well nobody told me how to do my job" like Director Graper did.
