ALBANY — Dougherty County School Superintendent Joshua Murfree lacks the support from the Dougherty County School Board to have his contract renewed, The Albany Herald has learned Thursday.

Running back Matt Kendrick from Randolph Southern School won the Albany Herald's Week 8 Player of the Week poll with 65 percent of the total number of votes cast. The other nominees were: Westover Receiver Jackie Childs, Deerfield's Matthew Fox and Lee County's Stephen Collier.
