ALBANY Ga. — An aggravated assault from over the weekend involving a firearm in south Albany resulted in no injuries, officials from the Albany Police Department say.
At 7:41 p.m. Sunday at 917 Dorsett Ave., officers responded to reports of an aggravated assault. Upon arrival, the victim, identified as Melvin Clark, stated that an unknown black male approached him demanding money. When the victim refused, shots were fired by the suspect , who later fled the scene, police officials say.
A canvas of the area yielded nothing, police said. There were no injuries reported in connection to the incident, and a more detailed suspect description was not available Monday.
Officials with the APD say the case remains active and has been referred to investigations.

I guess the guy didn't know it was illegal to discharge a firearm within the City limits. Afterall making a law against it will stop it from happening.
