Police/Fire/EMS report for October 30, 2012

ALBANY — The Albany Police Department responded to 54 incidents Saturday, Sunday and into the early hours of Monday, available reports show. The incidents included:

— Domestic violence (unfounded) on the 1400 block of South McKinley Street and on the 3200 block of Fernridge Drive;

— Driving on a suspended license on the 600 block of 12th Avenue alley;

— Burglary in the 1st degree on the 400 block of Kingswood Drive and on the first block of Sutton Place;

— Battery (domestic violence) on the 600 block of Longbow Drive and on the 900 block of South Street;

— Theft by taking on the 2300 block of Meadowlark Drive and on the 400 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard;

— Aggravated assault on the 400 block of Clark Avenue;

— Unruly juvenile on the 200 block of Pine Bluff Road;

— Disorderly conduct on the 1600 block of McArthur Street and on the 200 block of Pine Bluff Road;

— Entering auto on the 1400 block of East Campbell Street and on the 400 block of South Cason Street;

— Possession of marijuana (less than one ounce) on the 2500 block of Dawson Road;

— Theft by shoplifting on the 2500 block of Dawson Road and on the 2600 block of Dawson Road;

— Driving on a suspended license on the 1400 block of South Madison Street and on the 1800 block of West Gordon Avenue;

— Injured person (dog bite) on the 2700 block of Sharon Drive;

— Domestic violence on the 900 block of Willowwood Drive;

— Motor vehicle theft on the 1000 block of West Mercer Avenue;

— Wanted person on the 500 block of West Third Avenue;

— Criminal trespass on the 1900 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard and on the 400 block of South Dellwood Drive;

— Forgery in the 1st degree on the 400 block of South Slappey Boulevard;

— Larceny on the 700 block of Partridge Drive;

— Burglary in the 2nd degree on the 800 block of Oglethorpe Boulevard;

— Recovered property on the 200 block of Cordele Road;

— Simple battery on the 1900 block of Stuart Avenue.

DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty County Police Department responded to at least 17 calls over the weekend, available reports show. The incidents included:

— Traffic accident on the 2100 block of Nelms Road;

— Family violence (verbal) on the 3400 block of Fleming Road and on the 800 block of Putney Avenue;

— Animal control (dog bite) on the 700 block of Cordele Road;

— Theft on the 2300 block of Camden Lane;

— Narcotics investigation on the 1800 block of Antioch Road. At 6:37 p.m. on Saturday, someone reported a suspicious vehicle in the area. Upon arrival, officers noticed a strong odor smelling of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The Albany-Dougherty Drug Unit was called in and three males were turned over to them along with the vehicle, according to reports.

ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least 28 calls from Friday through early Monday, available reports show.

The incidents included a vehicle and grass fire, a backhoe tractor fire on Baldwin Drive causing $5,000 in damage, a building fire on Twin Flower Road causing $20,000 in damage, a vehicle wreck, EMS assistance and an arcing power line.

DOUGHERTY EMS: The Dougherty Emergency Medical Service responded to at least 41 calls on Sunday, available reports show.

There were 36 medical calls and five trauma calls.

The medical calls included, but were not limited to, eight respiratory issue calls, four miscellaneous pain calls, one OB/labor call, one diabetic call and 18 various medical calls. The trauma calls included, but were not limited to, three falls and one auto accident victim.
