TY TY — Law enforcement officials are still searching for someone who is alleged to have shot and killed a 35-year-old man on Saturday in Tift County.
Reports available from the Tift County Sheriff’s Office show that law enforcement was dispatched to 4668 U.S. Highway 82 West in Ty Ty in reference to a person who had been fatally wounded by a bullet at sometime between 10 p.m and 10:20 p.m. Saturday.
The report identifies the deceased as Arlester Jackson, 35, of Tifton. The suspect has been identified as Adrian Lamar Golson, 32, who was still at large as of Monday evening.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation office in Sylvester has taken over the investigation. Mark Pro, assistant special agent in charge at that office, confirmed Monday that arrest warrants have been issued for Golson.
“It you see him, contact law enforcement,” Pro said. “Use caution. He could be armed and dangerous.”
When asked if there were any leads regarding Golson’s whereabouts, Pro said that Golson does have relatives living in Worth and Tift counties.
In the meantime, Jackson’s body is being taken to the GBI crime lab in Macon for an autopsy, Pro said.
