You don't believe people should respect their neighbors enough not to intrude upon their enviornment? That is why I don't mow grass early Saturday or Sunday while it is cool. That is why I don't work an anvil early in the morning. That is why I wear earphones when I listen to my music outside. I also believe it is why there is a noise ordenance. I guess we were raised different. You feel you have the right to intrude, my Parents taught me that was just plain rude.

If you want peace and quiet then move out of a neighborhood and into the country. You know what you are getting into when living in civilization. People should be respectful and not blast music at 2AM, but they don't have to cater to your whims. If it is loud enough to violate a noise ordinance, then that is one thing. This example, from the limited info given, says nothing of noise pollution.

Life is too short to be grumpy about this sort of thing...

What gives you the right Sherwood to be so judgemental of others thoughts or comments? I agree we should respect others privacy while enjoying our selves.

If you are the kind of person that gets mad over someone having music playing during the middle of the day then just take out your hearing aid.

I doubt it is all day every day. It's probably once a week for a few hours. Life is too short, FCARROLL.

I never get near swimming pools in my powered wheelchair. I can't control it well enough. And I can't hear that good no more either. So y'all have all the fun in the sun you can stand and crank that music as loud as you want. It don't bother me at all! Play me some of that funky music, white boy!

Someone's jealous he/she doesn't have a pool and his/her neighbors do... maybe if you weren't such a grump, they would have invited you over.

Thank you, ShinedownFan. By the looks of these comments, most of the people here don't get invited over for beer and burgers.

Lets see now, Sherwood, that might make you Baptist? The same Church that first told us they didn't want us as members because I worked in the Beer Industry back in 79. Then later on we became welcome when they saw the people and money going to another Church. So do you drink in violation of the edit of the Southern Baptist rules?

I graduated from the school, however I do not attend that church or any other Baptist church.

I use to have noisy neighbors, but they have moved, but would much rather have the noise that the other side. The is a nosy self serving witch. I would use the b word, but probably would not print it. I'd rather have the pot smoking beer drinking ones any day.

My peace and enjoyment ends where my neighbors begins. In other words, I try to respect my neighbors and keep the noise levels down. I have some neighbors that slam doors and blow horns all hours of the night. They do not have any respect for their neighbors. They need to live in an isolated cave in some location on the other side of the world. They are mouthy, do not maintain their yards and could care less whether or not shrubbery and weeds grow over the fences into others yards. They drive down the streets in the subdivision like it is a race track with no consideration for children or adults who may be walking or playing.

Wouldn't you be speaking about the majority of Albany??

I have to agree with Walt on this one. Like you Walt, I try to be respectful of people and not make unnecessary noise. If you have noisy neighbors ask them politely if they would turn down their music if it is too loud. If the neighbor continues to show gratuitous and wonton disregard for your desire for peace and quiet, call the police. The police will be happy to "encourage" your neighbor to keep it down so to say. I would only call the police under extreme curcumstances, however. Most people would respond to a polite request for noise cessation.

I love the peace and quiet of my neighborhood. If life is short, then I want it to be a peaceful one. I don't mind music being loud so bad, what i despise hearing is that Thump Thump Thump from a car going down the road.

I'm happy for colder weather because I'm tired of seeing short shorts that look like underwear and tank tops with no bras on woman and girls with no self respect!! (I'm in Florida, by the way)! And while I'm on the subject - tights are not pants!! They were made to wear under a skirt or dress, not to wear by themselves!

Some females blue jeans are so tight the look like tights. If you have a "muffin top" protruding from the top of your jeans, they are too tight. The muffin top comment applies to men as well. Don't kill me ladies, I just call it like I see it.

CJ42 likes them big gurls. Maybe he likes seeing those muffin tops.

The fashion police have spoken...

I get my biggest laughs out of going to the Walmart URL that has the funny pages where they post the pics of the freaks that actually shop there in some of the outlandish costumes they wear...haahaha......talk about the fashion police.....where are they when you need them...it amazes me that people actually go out in public and shop at Walmart dressed that way. I have a friend whose wife works at Walmart and he got her, for a 40th wedding anniversary gift, a tee shirt (she works in the Deli Section) that says........*I CUT THE CHEESE AT WALMART * but she can't wear it at work or she would be fired....haha.....
