DAWSON -- Clara Blackburn Isler Brown, 92, of Albany, Georgia, formerly of Pell City, Alabama, died Saturday, September 1, 2012, at Wynfield Park Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Dawson, Georgia. Dr. Ronald Baxley officiated.
Mrs. Brown was a member of Cropwell Baptist Church, Pell City, AL, where she also volunteered for a number of years. She crocheted approximately 300 baby blankets and gave them to the church to be given to each baby born to the church families.
Clara was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence B. and Nellie Humphrey Blackburn; her husbands, Ervin W. Isler and Clifford Otis Brown; brothers, William J. "Jamie" and Clarence D. "Bud" Blackburn; and daughter, Judith Roberts Sanders.
Survivors include her daughter, Glenda Mainor-Richard and husband, John of Leesburg, GA; grandson, Richard A. Mainor and wife, Juli of Leesburg, GA; granddaughters, Fran Procter and husband, Glenn of Lawrenceville, GA and Debbie Fowler and husband, Doug of Ashville AL; and sisters, Norine Keith of Wake Forest, NC, Nadine Wright of Boston, GA, and Patsy Milner of Arlington, GA.
