George Earl Capps Powell

ALBANY -- Mr. George Earl Capps "Skip Powell", 61, of Leesburg, GA died September 1, 2012 at Willson Hospice House.

Funeral services were held Tuesday September, 4, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Kimbrell-Stern. Hope Morey and Rodney Cannon officiated. Interment followed in Leesburg City Cemetery.

A native of Port St. Joe, FL, George has lived most of his life in Leesburg where he was employed at Chokee Plantation for 12 years and was former owner of "Skips" Place. George enjoyed life very much. He loved to hunt, fish and watch NASCAR either on TV or at the races. He will always be remembered for his hard work and the love he gave to his family and friends.

Survivors include his sisters, Linda Toledo of Cape Canaveral, FL and Robin Powell of Rhinelander, WI, brothers, Thomas Warren "Tony" Capps of Cobb, GA and Bennie Chris Powell of Albany, step-daughter, Ann Marie Brown of Leesburg and step-grandchildren, A.J. Brown and Kayla Brown.
