BLAKELY -- Mary Alice Teal Williams, 75, died Friday, August 31, 2012 at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, Al. The funeral service was held Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church in Blakely. Burial followed in the Mt. Hebron Cemetery in Randolph Co. with the Rev. Michael Williams officiating. The family received friends from 2-3:00 PM in the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
Serving as pallbearers were: Roger Lumpkin, Dan Lumpkin, Ray Lumpkin, Wayne White, Tim White, Mark White and Dave Lewis.
Mrs. Williams was born September 3, 1936 in Edwin, Al. to the late Will Teal and Ruby Turner Lewis. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Blakely and was retired as owner and operator of Artistic Florist. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband , Gerald Lumpkin ; two brothers; Ben Teal and Mike Teal and by two sisters; Angie Richardson and Irelle Bush.
Mrs. Williams is survived by four daughters; Lisa and Steve Shivers of Ft. Gaines; Gail and Alan Garland of Cuthbert, ; Tally and Terry Edwards of Leesburg and Wendy and David Powell of Blakely; by a brother; Thaddeus H . Lewis Jr. of Mapleton, GA; by ten Grandchildren; Alana Garland and Brett Garland of Cuthbert, April and John Williams of Ft. Gaines, Patrick and Morgan Shivers of Ft. Gaines, Meghan and Michael Williams of Bluffton, Mischa and Tony Smith of Arlington, Clayton Usry of Leesburg, Courtney and Matt Cannon of Leesburg, and Brittany & Carly Edwards of Leesburg, Ga. and by five Great-Grandchildren: Hayley and Bowen Williams, Paxton Williams, Sara Bess Shivers and Grady Smith.
