Restaurant and individual robbed early Sunday morning

ALBANY — Two armed robberies are under investigation by the Albany Police Department. According to police reports, A man dressed all in black brandished a handgun in the East Oglethorpe Boulevard Pizza Hut about 2 a.m. Sunday and demanded money. He ran away with an undisclosed amount of money from the register.

About 3 a.m. Sunday two men, one armed with a small handgun, robbed cash from a man on the 500 block of Cedar Avenue alley. No injuries were reported in either robbery.

ALBANY POLICE: Albany police responded to at least 69 incidents Saturday, Sunday and into the early hours of Monday, according to available police reports. Police responded to incidents including:

— Indecent exposure, saggy pants on the 300 block of Flintside Drive and the 2400 block of Jackson Avenue;

— Burglary on the 1400 block of East Broad Avenue, the 1400 block of Whispering Pines Road;

— Theft by taking on the 1400 block of West Lincoln Avenue, the 1100 block of Whispering Pines Road and the 500 block of Ninth Avenue;

— Three counts of obstructing a police officer on the 1400 block of East Broad Avenue;

— Entering auto on the 1900 block of Elkhorn Avenue;

— Terroristic threats and acts on the 1200 block of West Waddell avenue;

— Recovered property on the 100 block of Liberty Expressway and the 1900 block of Edgerly Avenue;

— Deceased person on the 2400 block of Brierwood Drive;

— Motor vehicle theft on the 1900 block of Cloquitt Avenue;

— Disorderly conduct on the 300 block of Mitchell Avenue;

— Assault (domestic) on the 1400 block of Mulberry Avenue and the 1400 block of Whispering Pines Road;

— Aggravated assault (domestic) on the 1700 block of Whitney Avenue;

— Battery, vandalism (domestic) on the 600 block of 11th Avenue;

— Domestic (unfounded) on the 500 block of Jeffries Avenue, the 500 block of North central Street, the first block of Sutton Place, the 600 block of Sands Drive, the 900 block of South Street, the 1800 block of West Gordon Avenue, the 600 block of Shadowlawn Drive, the 500 block of 10th Avenue, the 600 block of Swift Street, the 100 block of Almond Drive, the 500 block of Vintage Road, the 3500 block of Shannon Road, the 2500 block of Cherokee Avenue, the 300 block of South Valencia Drive, the 500 block of Emily Avenue and the 4500 block of Chateau Drive.

DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County police responded to at least 24 calls, according to police reports. Police responded to incidents including family violence (aggravated assault) on the 1200 block of Lilly Pond Road.
