ALBANY, Ga. -- Earl Bridges and Carla Hancock were relieved of a purse and some cash by an "acquaintance" brandishing a silver-colored revolver, they told Albany police officers Tuesday.
According to statements by the two, the acquaintance asked to be driven to the 700 block of Mobile Avenue and offered to pay for the ride. After reaching the destination, the rider asked for change for a larger bill, Albany Police Department reports said.
When Bridges took some money from his wallet, the gunman produced a silver-colored revolver and robbed him of the money and took Hancock's purse, the reports said. APD officials said the case was under investigation with no arrests made Wednesday.
