SYLVESTER, Ga. -- Bobby Henry Drayton Jr., wanted for the Aug. 30 shooting of Arthur Lawrence Hill during a home invasion robbery, has been apprehended, according to Lt. Ronnie Graddy with the Sylvester Police Department.
Graddy said Drayton's capture resulted from a tip from a Sylvester resident. Upon searching the given location, officers found the fugitive hiding in a closet. According to Graddy, Drayton was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Worth County Jail.
Drayton had been accused of being the man illegally entering a home at 101 Cotton St. in Sylvester and shooting Hill, a resident of the home. Following the shooting, the gunman ran away, police said. Hill was taken to Phoebe Worth Hospital, where he was treated and released.
Drayton, 27, also was wanted for an Aug. 9 armed robbery at the Worth Inn in Sylvester.
