US economy adds 96K jobs, rate falls to 8.1 pct.

WASHINGTON — U.S. employers added 96,000 jobs last month, a weak figure that could slow any momentum President Barack Obama hoped to gain from his speech to the Democratic National Convention.

The unemployment rate fell to 8.1 percent from 8.3 percent in July, but only because more people gave up looking for work. The government only counts people as unemployed if they are actively searching.

The Labor Department also says 41,000 fewer jobs were created in July and June than first estimated. The economy has added just 139,000 jobs a month since the beginning of the year, below 2011's average of 153,000.

The bleak report comes just two months before Election Day, and the economy is the top issue on most voters' minds.

Everytime you hear of one group of companies hiring people, the same day you hear another group of companies cutting jobs.

Not to mention the fact that 8.1% is not even close to the true unemployment rate. If you look at 100% of all work age citizens in our country then the true unemployment rate is 50% or more. Of course when they post an 8.1% unemployment rate that does not include anyone on welfare or anyone who no longer qualifies for unemployment benefits or anyone who has just quit looking because there is nothing out there.

If voters dont get serious about removing this egotistical amature from this great office we wont have to worry about the latest statistics anymore because we will all become statistics. Obamas answer to every problem is always gobbledeguke buzz words. His ideas to me always seem like he is rearranging the deck chairs on the TITANIC. I believe that more then anything that this election to him is more about ego and lost reputation then anything. All voters must remember ONE thing! if what obama delivered in this first term was good enough for you thats GREAT because you will be getting a double dose on STEROIDS if he wins because he will no longer be answerable to anyone. Remember when he was caught on the open mic telling Putin the Russian that after the election he would be able to do more after i fool the American public one last time.Well has he fooled you enough yet.See you at the polls.

Let's see, 365,000 NEW applications for Unemployment Benefits LAST WEEK (times 4 weeks per month= 1.5 Million new applications for Unemployment Benefits last month) and 96,000 jobs added LAST MONTH. That is a NET LOSS of 1.4 Million jobs. Let's keep working on our Math skills. Democrats boast that they've "added 4 million new jobs" since Obama was elected! But the don't subtract out all the jobs lost.

The "modern economy" that BJ Clinton promised us Wednesday night? This is it. "Only 139,000 jobs created since January". How's it working out for you?

They can try to rearrange the numbers all they want but in the end all you have done is nothing more than to rearrange the deck chairs on the titanic DO YOU HERE ME OUT THERE we have got to stop this man from going any further than this term or kati bar the door. I believe if he is re-elected that one of his hearts desire has to do with reparations to the black community and just how would you stop that move. He does what ever he decides to with or without approval from congress or for that matter anyone. He has got to be stopped this election no matter the cost.

Last night on the news is stated that 360,000 dropped off of unemployment last month because they were maxed out and these were not even accounted for plus the others who were maxed out and still unemployed. As Mark Twain said it well, "There are lies, damn lies and there are statistics". Never trust any figures that the federal government tells you!

I heard that this could be the last election where we could make changes. If Obama wins the tax payers wil be outnumbered. There will be no restraint on government spending. Young people should get a job with the government as that will be where the money will be.......as long as it lasts. As he said "fundamentally change the United States".
