Historians will judge success of president

There are so many opposing facts and opinions about global warming, the actual stage that a fetus qualifies as a person or which political party has the best plan to save Medicare. There are also many warring facts and opinions about President Barack Hussein Obama Jr. I want to take a narrow path to facts about America’s 44th president and leave my opinion for last.

President Obama’s mother grew up in Kansas, and his father was a goat herder from Kenya. President Obama is married to Michelle Robinson, also from Chicago. Mr. Obama graduated from Columbia University and attended Harvard Law School. The president spoke out against invading Iraq in 2002 and in 2010 he kept a campaign promise to end the war in Iraq. As president, the first law he signed was The Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act in 2009. In 2009, Mr. Obama declined to appeal a lifted ban on carrying concealed weapons in national parks. The president favors raising the taxes on only those making over $250,000. The president is in favor of the DREAM Act and same-sex marriages. President Obama is America’s only president who is not of an Angelo-Saxon descent. President Obama ended the policy of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell in the military. In 2012, the Supreme Court confirmed the legitimacy of the Affordable Healthcare Act, otherwise known as Obamacare. Mr. Obama confesses his faith as Christian.

The president made lofty promises for his first term. Whether the president is re-elected or not, his performance framing is already set by those who love him and by those who believe he was not qualified for the office on day one. Historians will have a feast for decades to gauge this country’s advancement in joining other progressive countries in breaking racial barriers through their highest held office.

He also sucks as a president. You left that part out of your useless diatribe.

A small piece of advice for you would be to study the word comprehension. Your first sentence is an opinion. Your second sentence don't understand that opinions don't have to be agreed upon to be stated. Now my last opinion is that you seem to be a very angry black woman (from your pic) that insults people that disagrees with you. You should work on that for whoever hurt you in the past. Have a nice day, Ruby.

On a scale of Carter to Clinton, Obama will be remembered closer to Carter.

Here's some background on the Obamas:
Michelle's dad, Fraser Robinson, was a pump operator at the Chicago city water plant. He earned $55,000 back in the '70s. After going to the inflation calculator, $50,000 in the 1970s is equivalent to $282,000 today. Michelle's mother, Marian Robinson, was a long-time secretary at Spiegel's, the catalog store. Michelle went to Whitney Young, a public magnet school for Chicago's upper class. Barack went to Punahou, which is the private prep school for the top echelon of Hawaii society. It had swimming pools, tennis courts, and photo studios! They both attended elite schools. Obama himself went on vacation to Indonesia, Pakistan, and India. He has written about the family going on month-long vacations to national parks and flying over from Hawaii. Who does this? Then they were both attended Ivy League schools. They didn't come from poverty, no matter what you might have been lead to believe. Yep, life for Barack and Michelle has been a "struggle".

"President Obama is America’s only president who is not of an Angelo-Saxon descent." I’m pretty sure his mother is of Anglo-Saxon descent, wasn't she? Or does that not count because of his skin color? Just checking the "facts" here.

Point well taken. I thought that most would not add him into that descent because of his father. Especially because of laws in the past on percentage of negro blood to class in a person into a particular race.
