PELHAM -- Mildred Fowler Davis 74, of Cotton, GA died Sunday, September 9, 2012 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at Jamerson Funeral Home chapel, Pelham, GA on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Arnold Buckner and Rev. Lowell Smith officiating. Pallbearers include Gene Willis, Terry Willis, Joey Wilson, Danny Davis, Handley Taylor, Walter Sealy and E. J. Bryant. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Baptist Church cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 11, 2012 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Fowler was born on July 6,1938 in Tifton, GA to the late Willis Benjamin and Adel Willingham Fowler. She was a retired supervisor for Darwood Manufacturing Company and a member of Cotton Assembly of God and was a member of Women's Missionaries. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Willene Poitevient.
Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband, James Emmett Davis, Sr. of Cotton, GA; daughter, Wanda Davis Sowell and husband, Ralph, of Meigs, GA; son, James Emmett Davis, Jr. and wife, Becky, of Cotton, GA; grandchildren, Amanda Nicole Sowell of Valdosta, GA, James Emmett Davis, III of Cotton, GA, Alexis Anne Davis of Cotton, GA; sisters. Wilda Willis of Harmony, GA, Vivian Albright of Hueytown, AL, Mary Johnson of Cairo, GA, and Jeannie Dixon of Cairo, GA.
