SYLVESTER -- Mrs. Eva Frances Long Bearden, 94, of Albany died Monday, September 10, 2012 at Willson Hospice House.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery.
Mrs. Bearden was born on April 9, 1918 in Worth County to the late William A. and Fannie Alice McKenzie Long. She had lived in Worth and Dougherty counties all of her life and was a homemaker and farmer. Mrs. Bearden was very active in the First Baptist Church of Acree in her early years.
Survivors include her son, Loyd Bearden (Pam) of Albany; daughters-in-law, Gwen Bearden of Sylvester and Lisa Jones of Sylvester, sisters, Merree L. Gooch of Albany; Dorothy L. Medders of Sylvester and Martha Shaw of Sylvester, grandchildren, Brian Bearden (Tammy), David Bearden (Brittney), Matthew Bearden and Amanda Bearden, great grandchildren, Amelia Bearden and Aiden Register.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Bearden was preceded in death by her husband, Minor E. Bearden on September 15, 1989, and two sons, Glen Bearden on November 5, 1994 and Roy Bearden on June 30, 2004.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2:00 PM until service hour at Banks Funeral Home.
