Squawk of the day - Sept. 12, 2012

"As long as the leaders of Albany fail to abide by the laws on the books such as those governing elections and appointments, it will remain one of the worst-governed cities in Georgia."

So you have to ask the question. Who really gives a krap about Albany? Certainly not the ones who keep voting for their “Leaders”

I believe a more appropriate statement would be "As long as the VOTERS allow the government to be run poorly, nothing will improve." Additionally as long as those seeing this behavior chose to ignore it and not even bother voting, it will continue. May I site Sanford Bishop as a prime example of one caught with his, and his Families hand in the cookie jar far too often, yet he continues to be re-elected.

Yes, and they are the first to complain about all the crime. Look at the Patriot day, not but one black to be seen and she is the mayor. They do not care or take pride in anything but their power and their pocketbook. Gangs are run better than this.

Government is okay, remember this, if the people cant get past things that will not change such as race, gender etc.. then you will have bickering among the people. But, if the people get on the same page, then everything else will have to improve.

Attack my post and I will come back, and this will continue.

Attack! Attack! I like your responses. There are always two sides. As to corrupt Government, it knows no boundries of Race, Color, Relegion or Gender. Just individuals taking advantage where they see an opportunity.

It's sad that people need to 'get past' a person's color or gender. That alone shoots evolution to pieces. We have stalled.

Just like those who run the country. As long as voters remain ignorant about what is going on, and they continue to get a free ride on everything from alcohol to zippo lighters, they have no incentive to really care who is in control.

To those feeding at the public trough, it makes no difference. It is the others, those ignorant of history that concern me. Socialism never works. It always ends badly, even for those who attained power. It is always about power. The Progressives know they have to feed the weak and stupid and make it look like they are compassionate in order to bring enough of the ignorant. Then the true nature of Progressives can come out. This is the party of Margaret Sanger, sterilization of the unworthy, improvement of the race, government by the elite. The most successful killers of the world have been socialists. Mao, Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot. Education is the worst enemy of the Progressives. DCSS is pretty much what the Progressives want.

The world needs more people like RedEric that know their history. Google "eugenics". It was a global phenomenon.

Looking at the number of voters who register and the even smaller number who come out to vote compared to the number of eligible voters in the county...apparently a lot of the "unhappy with the government" folks stay at home. Crying about who gets elected is foolish unless you can prove voter fraud. The reason they won is they got the most votes, even if it was only 25% of the eligible voters.

The schools fail becasue the youth see no reason to succeed. They make more money shaking down their neighbors than they see a chance to make in Albany. They have no way to leave, no reason to care and certainly can see that education doesn't mean success or respect just by reading local news, either printed or broadcast. We say "save the youth" but do nothing except castigate all the teachers who are in the battlefields and mental aslyums of our classrooms feeling their energy and love of education being sucked dry by apathy from most students and hostility from parents.

Quit whining and do something other than submit no-name attack blogs with no facts, just your own brand of labeling and hate.

I love it when no-name attack bloggers attack other no-name attack bloggers.

"Bloggers" may be too politically correct of a term. I prefer "trolls," and some "bloggers" are really good at it. They are a daily source of ongoing entertainment.

I have no other facts to submit to this blog.

Those who disagree and fight need a job - maybe another job!!

Some people don't bother voting because they know who is going to win anyway. When you are outnumbered 80-20 you are going to lose even if you had a 100 percent turnout. For example; The Bishop supportors outnumber the Non-Bishop supporters and Bishop will win everytime, and he will win again this time. No one is going to vote to have free unearned money taken out of their pockets.

0

waltspecht 1 year, 7 months ago

You have got to remember the number of voters limited due to felony conviction, and other causes. If there is a massive turnout of registered Voters, Bishop will lose.

In GA your right to vote is automatically restored after completion of your sentence.

0

waltspecht 1 year, 7 months ago

If that means probationers can't vote, that is still a large number

But suppose that massive turnout of registered voters are voting for Bishop? I hope Bishop loses, but I don't think that is going to happen.

Somebody please read ... The Bell Curve and take a look at some of Dr. James Watson's research. ... It may not be the facts you want to face ... many don't but, it will give you a sense of peace as to how to digest most of this behavior and its consequences...THE TRUTH HURTS ... always.

0

RedEric 1 year, 7 months ago

You cannot solve a problem unless you deal in the truth. The hardest part about solving a problem is finding the truth. The Bell Curve is supported by standard reading and math scores. I think all of that shows you cannot teach black children the way you teach white children. The movie 'waiting for superman' shows how to correct that. Society has to admit that black people and white people are different and that there is not a darn thing wrong with that. It is the truth.

0

Fletch 1 year, 7 months ago

You, obviously haven't read it. ... Such a PC response that is factually incorrect supports the assertion that you have not fully looked into Dr. James Watson's research, as well. ... If you have read The Bell Curve, indeed, then you certainly didn't glean the correct message. ... There is NOTHING culturally sensitive about the correct answer to 7x7 = 49.

lynn227 1 year, 7 months ago

It must be a comfort to some to believe a dried up old white man, spouting off at the mouth about his race's superior intelligence. If it helps anyone get through the night and sleep sounder...go with that delusion. I think people should be allowed to believe whatever makes them happy. For the record, "You are one sad puppy!"

1

Fletch 1 year, 7 months ago

That's no way to respond to RedEric ... I will, again, reiterate that the truth in research cannot be denied ... and, it is obviously something you didn't want to hear. ... What is sad is that some choose to bury their head in the sand hoping that all the evidence supporting such painful research is gone when they they pull their head out of the sand ... or some other nether region. ... This isn';t going away and, in fact, is getting worse every single day ... keep dreaming.

the Bell Curve reports that since 1914 black people have scored one standard deviation lower than white people. The reading and math testing results in each State support that number. That is the truth. I stand by what I said regarding Waiting for Superman. The movie shows that white kids and black kids score about the same until they are 9 years old and the score deviation begins. It is very interesting

Yes I agree going to get worse thats why the MCLB has requested and recieved approval from Lee County to allow children of active members of the military to opt out of having to attend the Dougherty County School System. The way I see it even the United States Military sees Albany DCSS as an embarressment to the base. I would suspect Marine Families come here only because they are ordered to do so. Now with the Lee County School Option on the table it will help them get Marines that willingly transfer. If the MCLB has concerns just think what possible big business think.

Well what do expect is going to happen when your city is governed by counter-racist ignorant people whom are elected to office by other counter-racist ignorant people.
