SAVANNAH, Ga. — Police in Savannah say they are redirecting traffic and students on their way to school after a gunman barricaded himself in a home nearby.
WTOC-TV reports that several streets around Shuman Elementary School were roped off by police Wednesday morning.
Authorities say children who were heading to school at Shuman on buses were being redirected to Savannah High School. Students who walk to school were being gathered in the parking lot and will also be diverted to Savannah High School by bus.
