ALBANY, Ga. - The father who took his 17-month-old son following a domestic dispute was still at large Monday evening.
The Albany Police Department was dispatched to 1558 George Ave. in reference to a domestic dispute just before 2 p.m. Monday. Larry Butler, who has taken 17-month-old Kejuan Lake, is facing charges of simple battery, interference with custody and a probation violation.
Earlier inaccurate reports from the APD indicated that Butler had been arrested later Monday.
The child’s mother sustained minor injuries in the incident. The child, who was wearing a green shirt and black shorts, is still missing.
Butler, a black male with dreadlocks, was last seen wearing a purple shirt and black shorts. Law enforcement officials were initially searching in the Cromartie Beach Drive area.
Those with information on Butler’s whereabouts are asked to call CrimeStoppers at (229) 436-TIPS (8477) or the APD.

At least he is admitting that it is his child. So sad that this has to happen to anyone.
