Man wanted for questioning by APD

ALBANY, Ga. -- The Albany Police Department's Criminal Investigative Bureau is soliciting the public's assistance with locating someone who is wanted for questioning in connection to an incident at an Albany amusement park last week.

At 2 p.m. on Thursday, officers responded to 2608 N. Slappey Blvd, the site of All American Fun Park, in reference to an unwanted guest pointing a gun at another. Upon officers' arrival, contact was made with the owner, James Blackwell Sr.

Blackwell stated that an unknown black male was using obscene language in the business and was asked to leave. He said the male continued using obscene language as he was escorted off the premises, police officials say.

Blackwell further stated to police that the male, who was wearing a pink hat, a white "wife beater" A-line T-shirt, black shorts with a white stripe down the sides, long white socks and white tennis shoes, entered the park at around 3:35 p.m. with a female companion who was wearing an orange-colored hat, a white T-shirt, dark-colored legging type bottoms and sandals with long braids.

After Blackwell escorted the pair off the premises, the male returned shortly thereafter with an unknown make and model handgun. The male then pointed the gun at the owner, police say.

Blackwell then stated that the male yelled some words at him and then fled the scene on foot between the duplexes across the street from the park.

Those with information on the case are asked to contact the APD.
