ATLANTA — Georgia Tech coach Paul Johnson said after practice Wednesday that WR Jeremy Moore has left the team, citing personal reasons. Moore started the season opener at Virginia Tech and was a part of a three-man rotation the last two games. He had three catches for 64 yards.
“(Moore) said he had some personal issues to deal with, “ Johnson said. “I wish him well and told him that I hope he finishes school, and I think he will.”
Johnson also said that So. Corey Dennis has moved from safety to wide receiver. Dennis actually began his Tech career at WR last August before moving to safety, where he played as a true freshman. Tech will also get back Sr. WR Chris Jackson next week for the Middle Tennessee State game.
PAUL JOHNSON ON SYNJYN DAYS: “He’s doing well, we’ll see (if he plays more). He’ll probably get in the rotation. We have a lot of those guys who play. He played well when he got in the game on Saturday. Hopefully, we’ll get him in more.”
DEWBERRY SURVIVES PLANE CRASH: Former Georgia Tech star quarterback John Dewberry, 47, was involved in a Macon plane crash Tuesday but was not seriously injured.
An airport official said the plane, which took off from Charleston, ran off the runway and crashed in the woods as it attempted to land.
Dewberry, now an Atlanta businessman, led Georgia Tech from 1983-85.

OKAY GA Tech, when will you give Zenon his break. Has he not paid his dues? Is he still a part of the team. I haven't heard anything or late about this young man from Deerffield, who chose Tech over so many other offers. Of course a quality education is the best deal, but really wanted to see him in action on the screen.

Zenon had 2 carries for 6 yards against Virginia last weekend. Not much action even in a 50-point blowout game.
