ALBANY, Ga. -- According to Albany Police Department reports, off-duty APD investigator Darrell Jones spotted a man hiding in front of the North Slappey Boulevard Shoe Depot store. He called the sighting in and was joined by Sgt. Denise Barnes.
Victor Bernard Roberts, 31, was arrested on South Davis Street at West Whitney Avenue with goods such as t-shirts, socks and a pair of shoes that had been stolen from the store, the report added.
Another report stated officers caught Eugene Riggens, 23, after a Tuesday morning burglary on the 100 block of Park Lake Lane. He was also charged with a Monday burglary at 511 W. Roosevelt Ave.
