VALDOSTA, Ga. — The court appearance and pleas for three siblings charged in the Valdosta Certus Bank armed bank robbery on Aug. 2, 2011 has been canceled, according to Sue McKinney, spokeswoman for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Middle District of Georgia.
No date has been set for the court appearance of brothers Ryan Edward Dougherty, 21, and Dylan Stanley-Dougherty and their sister, Lee Grace Dougherty, 29.
The siblings pleaded not guilty in May to the federal charges in Albany before a federal magistrate because one was not available in Valdosta.
The siblings reportedly began a crime spree in Florida, drove to Valdosta where they are accused of robbing the bank. Gunshots were fired in the robbery, but no injuries were reported.
The tthree were captured in Colorado, where Ryan Dougherty was sentenced to 18 years, Lee Grace Dougherty got 24 years and Dylan Stanley-Dougherty was given 32 years in prison for crimes committed in that state.
