ALBANY, Ga. -- Warrants have been issued for 21-year-old Joshua Jackson for armed robbery and aggravated assault in connection with a Subway restaurant robbery, an Albany Police Department report stated.

When Jackson entered the Subway restaurant at 912 S. Slappey Blvd. at 9:25 p.m. Sept. 20., he fired at least two shots and demanded money, a report stated. Jackson went on the run after the robbery, police said.

No injuries were reported, but an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen. Officers stated that the gunman, Jackson, was wearing blue jeans, brown boots and a long-sleeved shirt. His face was covered with a t-shirt that was gray or black during the robbery.

Anyone with information on him is asked to call investigations at (229) 431-3288 or Crime Stoppers at (229) 436-TIPS (8477). The Spanish language APD-COP Tip Line is (229) 434-2677.

In an unusual case police would like information on a man probably selling deodorant and toothpaste on the street. The man broke out a front-door window on the 1109 W. Broad Ave. Dollar General store before 5 a.m. Sept. 22 and stole the toiletries.

Again anyone with information on the theft or a man selling toothpaste and deodorant on the street is asked to call Crime Stoppers or the APD.

Crime Stoppers is an anonymous tipline. Those with information can become eligible for cash rewards.
