SYLVESTER -- The funeral services for the late Mrs. Hazel Mae Holloman of 2242 Cassidy Road, Thomasville, Georgia, who departed this life on Sunday, March 31, 2013, at the Golden Living Center in Thomasville, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 12:00 noon from the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Sylvester, Georgia with Brother Dan Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Shepard Memorial Garden Cemetery in Sylvester, Georgia.
Sister Hazel Mae Holloman was born on May 27, 1926 in Turner County, Ashburn, Georgia.
She was baptized on May 9, 1992 as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was very active until her health did not permit, but faithful until death.
She attended the public schools of Worth County until she entered the work force. Sister Holloman was employed by Saldanbindery in Brooklyn, New York for many years until she returned home to be a caregiver for her mother. She attended meetings at the Sylvester Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses until moving to Thomasville, GA.
She leaves to cherish her memories: Five devoted children, Mary E. Williams (Willie Morris) of Hinesville, Georgia, Betty Williams, Daisy Holloman, and Robert Gassaway Jr., all of Brooklyn, New York, Vivian McCloud (Jimmy) of Thomasville, Georgia; four grandsons, seven granddaughters, twenty-four great grand children, twelve great-great grand children; One sister, Frances McCray (William) of Greenville, South Carolina; two brothers, Tommy Felton of Brooklyn, New York and Ace Holloman of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; two sisters-in-law Dorothy Holloman of Brooklyn, New York and Dealva Holloman of Fort Pierce, Florida; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, who will miss her wisdom and sincere advice immensely. Mary Lee Johnson was a support and great help to Sister Holloman.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening, April 5, 2013 from 6 pm-8 pm.
