ALBANY -- Mr. Malcolm Fussell, 83, of Lee County died Thursday April 4, 2013 at his residence.

Funeral service will be held today at 11:00 AM at Kimbrell-Stern with entombment to follow at Crown Hill Mausoleum. Mr. David Dunn will be officiating.

Born in Mitchell County, Mr. Fussell lived in the Albany area most of his life where he was a retired Colonel with Albany Police Department after 30 years of service. He was a member Byne Memorial Baptist Church and Fraternal Order of Police. Mr. Fussell was an Army Veteran serving in the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by two sisters Nancy Lanier and Bessie Fussell.

Survivors include his wife Jeanette Fussell of Leesburg; a daughter Janet Dunn and her husband Berry of Leesburg; a brother Tom Fussell of Port Wentworth, GA; four sisters Sue Condrey and her husband Pickett of Camilla; Janice Maddox and her husband Russ of Thousand Oaks, CA; Judy Newton and her husband Robert of Camilla; Margaret Lane and her husband Paul of Sale City; one grandchild Janna Grace Dunn of Leesburg.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00PM at Kimbrell-Stern.
