South Albany teen shot in leg

ALBANY, Ga. — Kemond White, 17, told officers of the Albany Police Department he was struck by a bullet to his leg while walking near the intersection of Cedar Avenue and Harding Street Tuesday.

According to officials, there are no suspects or arrests in the case. On receiving the 911 dispatch, officers responded to the attack scene shortly before 5 p.m. Tuesday, according to Phyllis Banks, spokeswoman for the APD. Uniformed police officers were assisted by members of the the Drug Enforcement team in the initial investigation of the crime, Banks said. No other injuries were reported in the attack.

If you thugs wanna shoot at each other, at least aim for center mass. It's a whole lot easier than trying to hit someone in the leg. You get nine attempts, surely you're not that bad of a shot.

To Albany Dad: He didn't see who did it? Come on, give me a break. Have you ever known of a shooting (and you're the one getting hit) and not know something? Oh, maybe this was an early 4th of July where someone shot in the air and it just happen to hit him. OK, we'll wait for the final police investigation.
