CAMILLA -- Nina Crow Waters passed quietly on April 23, 2013 at Camilla Retirement Village.
Visitation will be held at the Camilla United Methodist Church at 10:00 am on Thursday April 25th with the service to follow at 11:00. Reverend Ken Myers will officiate. Private interment will follow at Oakview Cemetery.
Mrs. Waters was born in Camilla, Georgia on May 18, 1924 to Alva E. Sr. & Mary Lucy Crow. She graduated from Camilla Consolidated High School and the Georgia State College for Women. She was a retired school teacher and an active member of the Camilla United Methodist Church. She loved her family and was an avid supporter of the Georgia Bulldogs. She was Co-founder, along with her husband, and former president of the Westwood Grandparents Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Dr. Raymond L. Waters and an infant daughter.
Survivors include a son, Richard L. Waters & wife, Janice, of Camilla; four grandchildren, Judge Rick Waters & wife, Ginna, Dr. Matt Waters & wife, Maureen, Lori Brinkley, and Dr. Deirdre Daughtry & husband, Joel; and eight great grandchildren. A brother, Alva E. Crow, Jr. & wife Mary Ann, of Camilla and a sister, Carolyn Butler, and husband, Jim Butler, Jr. of Camilla.
