City sewer repairs will reduce traffic

ALBANY, Ga. — Albany officials have announced that traffic will be reduced to one lane at the intersection of Pine Avenue/Dawson Road and Slappey Boulevard westbound and at Slappey Boulevard between Baker Street and Pine Avenue/Dawson Road between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. starting Monday.

The action is being taken so that the city’s Sewer Department can make needed repairs. The one-way traffic is expected to be in effect for up to 60 days, and motorists are asked to drive slowly and use cuation when using those roads.

It's not going to reduce traffic. It will reduce the capacity of the road to handle the traffic.
