THOMASTON -- Mr. Olen B. Baucom, 86, of Thomaston and formerly of Albany, died Saturday, August 3rd, 2013 at Riverside Nursing Center.
Funeral services for Mr. Baucom will be held on Tuesday, August 13th, 2013 at 11:00 a. m., in the Chapel of the Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home. Rev. Billy Hanna will officiate and burial will follow in South View Cemetery.
Mr. Baucom was a native of Tampa, FL. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II and during his working life was employed by Keenan Auto Parts, where he worked in management.
Mr. Baucom was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church of Albany.
He is survived by his wife, Janice H. Baucom; his son, Paul (Ann) Baucom of Thomaston; his son-in-law, Alan (Sharon) Broome of Albany; seven grandchildren, Tabetha (David) Ragin of Macon, Courtney (Joe) Ellingson of Statesboro, and Hannah Baucom, Haley Baucom, Aryn Baucom, Rhett Baucom and Evan Baucom, all of Thomaston; and three great grandchildren, Blake Ragin of Macon and Charley Ragin and Zoe Ellingson, both of Statesboro.
Mr. Baucom was preceded in death by his daughter, Robin Baucom Broome.
The family of Mr. Baucom will receive friends at Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home on Monday, August 12th, 2013 from 6 until 8 pm.
