ALBANY — The Albany Police Department responded to at least 57 incidents on Saturday, Sunday and into the early hours of Monday, available reports show. The incidents included:
— Wanted person on the 1200 block of Hoover Street;
— Theft by taking on the 600 block of West Society Avenue and on the 2500 block of Westgate Drive;
— Burglary in the 1st degree on the 800 block of West Whitney Avenue and on the 500 block of Mercer Avenue;
— Assault on the 1800 block of Gadsden Drive and on the 600 block of Sands Drive;
— Driving on a suspended license on the 1600 block of Palmyra Road;
— Battery on the 2500 block of Homewood Drive;
— Harassing phone calls on the 1200 block of Maryland Drive;
— Disorderly conduct on the 900 block of Holloway Avenue and on the 100 block of South Slappey Boulevard;
— Criminal trespass on the 1200 block of West Waddell Avenue and on the 900 block of Leisure Court;
— Theft by shoplifting on the 2000 block of North Slappey Boulevard and on the 200 block of Cordele Road;
— Forgery in the 2nd degree on the 200 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard;
— Criminal damage to property in the 2nd degree on the 300 block of Sunset Lane and on the 900 block of Jolly Court;
— Vandalism on the 1100 block of Crawford Drive;
— Simple assault (domestic violence) on the 1100 block of Crawford Drive;
— Simple battery on the 1700 block of Malone Avenue and on the 2400 block of North Slappey Boulevard;
— Entering auto on the 900 block of Tift Avenue and on the 200 block of Thistle Court;
— Domestic violence (unfounded) on the 1100 block of Lee Street and on the 3200 block of South Fernridge Drive;
— Public indecency (saggy pants) on the 1100 block of Eager Avenue and on the 1200 block of West Whitney Avenue;
— Financial transaction card fraud on the 2400 block of North Slappey Boulevard;
— Burglary attempt on the 1700 block of Gillionville Road;
— Motor vehicle theft on the 900 block of Wall Street;
— Open container on the 300 block of West Highland Avenue;
— Injured person (dog bite) on the 200 block of Monarch Drive;
— Terroristic threats and acts on the 300 block of Elsom Street.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty County Police Department responded to at least 23 calls Saturday and Sunday, available reports show. The incidents included:
— Death on the 3200 block of Sylvester Road. A man reported that his wife had taken several pills earlier in the day. Her body was transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
— Family violence on the 500 block of Old Pretoria Road and on the 3500 block of Sylvester Road;
— Traffic accident on the 1500 block of Skylark Lane and on the 2500 block of Radium Springs Road;
— Theft of mislaid property on the 3300 block of Sylvester Road.
ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least 23 incidents from Friday afternoon through early Monday morning, available reports show. The incidents included an illegal trash fire, authorized and unauthorized burnings, an overheated motor, EMS assistance and a suspected arson on North Slappey Boulevard.
DOUGHERTY EMS: The Dougherty County Emergency Medical Service responded to 56 calls on Sunday. There were 47 medical calls and nine trauma calls. The medical calls included, but were not limited to, eight respiratory issue calls, seven miscellaneous pain calls, six chest pain calls, three mental health calls, one altered mental status call and 18 various medical calls. The trauma calls included four auto accident victims, four falls and one assault.
