Marilyn White Dent
ALBANY - Mrs. Marilyn White Dent, 75, of Albany, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2013 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 21, 2013 in the Chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Reverend Ricky McFarland and Reverend Dale Hodges will officiate with interment to follow at Floral Memory Gardens.
Born August 31, 1937, in Swainsboro, Mrs. Dent was the daughter of the late Joseph White and the late Mary Bell Ware White. She retired from the Dougherty County School System having worked in the lunch room at Turner Elementary School. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with her family that she loved dearly. She was of the Baptist faith and will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dent was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-six years, James Mills Dent.
Survivors include her daughter, Cathy and Dale Hubbard of Mitchell County; sons, James Douglas and Tracey Dent of Mitchell County, William Donald Dent of Albany and Jesse and Sarah Dent of Waleska, GA; three sisters, Betty Jo Woods, Linda Miranda and Brenda Walker; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and one expected great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 20, 2013 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Hall & Hall Funeral Home.
