LEESBURG —Trey Hardison recently completed basic cadet training at the U.S Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo. and was officially accepted into the Cadet Wing, Class of 2017.

Hardison was an honor graduate of St. Teresa’s School in 2009 and at Lee County High School in 2013. He is the son of Tom and Kathy Hardison of Leesburg, and is the grandson of Dick and Val Cole of Albany, Connie and Roger Houseman of Leesburg and Tom and Julie Hardison of New Bern, N.C.

Hardison received his first set of shoulder boards from Jared Strength at the Air Force Academy Acceptance Day Parade on Aug. 6. Strength, the 2010 salutatorian of Lee County High School, is the son of Joe and Karen Strength of Leesburg. He will graduate from the academy in May.
