Albany — F. Faison Middleton, IV, has been named to the board of directors for Community Capital Bancshares, Inc. and its subsidiary, AB&T National Bank.

Faison is a native of Albany. He attended Westover High School and Emory University, where he earned his B.A. degree. He later graduated cum laude from Georgia State University College of Law, where he served as managing editor of the Georgia State University Law Review. He is currently a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Dougherty Circuit Bar Association and the Defense Research Institute (DRI).

At the law firm of Watson Spence LLP, where Faison serves as managing partner, he manages a civil trial and litigation practice focused on commercial disputes, injury claims, partnership disputes, and fiduciary law. Faison has been active in the bar and professional organizations by presenting at Continuing Legal Education seminars and serving on various bar committees since his bar admission in 1995.

Faison and his wife, Kari, are the parents of two sons. Since moving back to his hometown of Albany. Appointed by the Governor, he currently serves on the Georgia Student Finance Commission as representative from the Second Congressional District. He is a founding board member and former president of the Lily Pad SANE Center and remains on its executive committee. Faison graduated Leadership Georgia in 1998 and served on its board of directors for three years. Faison has served on the board of directors of the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce and its executive committee, the board of directors of the Albany Museum of Art, the board of directors of The First Tee, and has been active in supporting the Flint Riverquarium in various capacities over the years. He is a 2006 graduate of Leadership Albany.


Joel C. Moore has been promoted to vice president and director of education, training and new agent recruitment for Delta Life Insurance Co.

Moore has been with Delta for 27, beginning as an insurance representative in the Albany district, before advancing to staff manager. He most recently was district manager for the Savannah district.

Moore is the son of Ralph and Carolyn Moore of Albany and is married to the former Kelly Powell of Sylvester.

He will have a seat on the board of directors for Delta Life Insurance and will be responsible for training and education for all new insurance representatives. His responsibilities include licensing, retention and recruitment.
