Public safety roundup for Albany and Dougherty County

ALBANY — The Albany Police Department responded to at least 27 incidents on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports show. The incidents included:

— Entering auto on the 2300 block of Dawson Road and the 800 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard;

— Battery on the 2400 block of Hemlock Drive, the 1100 block of West Waddell Avenue and the 900 block of Mercer Avenue;

— Armed robbery on the 700 block of Johnson Road;

— Burglary on the 1400 block of Avalon Avenue, the 1300 block of Radium Springs Road, the 1500 block of Elva Street, the 900 block of West Whitney Avenue, the 600 block of 16th Street, the 700 block of Corn Avenue, the 2400 block of Nottingham Way, the 1200 block of Maryland Drive and the 1200 block of West Whitney Avenue;

— Reckless conduct on the 1100 block of North Westover Boulevard;

— Theft by taking on the 700 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard, the 200 block of Thornton Drive, the 900 block of West Lincoln Avenue, the 300 block of South Carroll Street, the 400 block of West 3rd Avenue and the 2300 block of West Gordon Avenue;

— Criminal damage to property on the 1900 block of Riverview Circle;

— Terrorist threats on the 900 block of Crawford St;

— Missing person on the 400 block of Pine Avenue and the 2300 block of Hemlock Drive;

— Driving on suspended license on the 1200 block of Maryland Drive;

DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty Police responded to at least four incidents on Thursday, available reports show. The incidents included an incident of family violence on the 4400 block of Harris Road;

ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least eight calls on Thursday, available records show. Calls included heat from short circuit, arching electrical equipment, building fires, alarm system activations, controlled burning and EMS assist.

DOUGHERTY EMS: The Dougherty Emergency Medical Service responded to 59 calls on Thursday, available records show. There were 45 medical calls, 13 trauma calls and one other type call.

The medical calls included six chest pain calls, four respiratory issue calls, 22 sick calls, one altered mental status call, one diabetic issue call, three seizure calls, two psych/suicide calls, two miscellaneous pain calls, two cardiac arrests, one overdose/poisoning and one man down (unknown).

The trauma calls included three auto accidents, six falls, one assault and three unknown with traumatic injuries.
