Cornelius Bennett, RB, Randolph-Clay

WHY HE’S HERE: Rushed for a Southwest Georgia-best 1,342 yards on 174 carries and finished with 19 rushing TDs. He also had 11 receptions for 207 yards and a score and ran back one kick for a TD. He was named the co-Offensive Player of the Year in Region 1-A.


J.Q. Quimbley, WR, Lee County

WHY HE’S HERE: Was the Trojans’ No. 1 target in their dangerous passing attack and finished the year with 52 catches for 870 yards and 13 TDs. He was named to the Region 1-AAAAA Offensive First Team.

WHY HE’S HERE: The reigning John Reynolds Player of the Year completed 207 of 318 passes for 2,647 yards and 22 TDs and also rushed for 306 yards and seven TDs on 58 carries. He was named the Region 1-AAAA Player of the Year.

WHY HE’S HERE: The top-rated junior player in the nation by Rivals.com finished the season with 83 tackles, 12 sacks and 38 tackles for loss. He was named the Region 1-AAAA Defensive Player of the Year.


Juwon Young, LB, Albany

WHY HE’S HERE: The University of Miami commit finished the season with 110 tackles, five sacks and three pass breakups and also rushed for more than 600 yards and scored 10 TDs. He was named to the Region 1-AAAA Defensive First Team.
