ALBANY — There will be plenty of excited children Christmas morning after they roll out of bed and streak to the Christmas tree to see what Santa has given them.
According to officials in the toy industry, odds are pretty good that at least one of the Toys “R” Us Top 15 Toys for 2013 will be among the presents.
“Identifying the toys that will made the Holiday Hot Toy List is no easy feat. It’s something we take great pride in – ensuring that the toys named with this distinction are truly the toys that kids from all corners of the country will be most excited about,” said Lisa Harnisch, Senior Vice President, General Merchandising Manager, Toys“R”Us, U.S.
“All 36 playthings named to this year’s list were chosen because they’re undoubtedly Hot, from Cra-Z-Loom, one of the most buzzed-about items this season, to Xbox One and tabeo e2, which are generating a ton of excitement before they are even available in stores.”
And what are some of the top items will Santa deliver this Christmas? Among the hottest toys are:
— Furby Boom Figure
The Furby has been around since 1998 and enjoyed immense popularity until waning in 2007. But the new and improved Furby is back and more interactive, complete with an app that allows kids to read furbish words and to hatch virtual Furblings.
— Flutterbye Pink Flying Flower Fairy Doll
Barbie is cool and all that, but she can’t fly, can she?
— LEGO Legends of Chima The Lion CHI Temple
Get ready for battle with the LEGO Legends of Chima Lion CHI Temple. The Lion and Eagle tribes must fend off Cragger, Crawley and Razar, who are battling for their tribes and trying to reach the sacred CHI orb rising high above the temple.
