Gladys Livingston Flowers
DOTHAN - Gladys Livingston Flowers, a resident of Dothan, formerly of Albany, Georgia, died Saturday night, December 28, 2013, in Extendicare Health & Rehabilitation Center in Dothan. She was 91.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. (C.S.T.) Monday, December 30, 2013, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel, Headland, Alabama, with Reverend Marcus Murdock officiating. Burial will follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery in Albany, Georgia. (There will be no graveside service at the cemetery). The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. (C.S.T.) Monday at the mortuary in Headland.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
Mrs. Flowers was born and reared in Houston County, Alabama, near Ashford. She lived in various locations while her husband served in the U.S. Air Force and also lived in Albany forty-five years before moving to Dothan in 2005. Mrs. Flowers was a member of the First Baptist Church of Albany and attended the Cloverdale Baptist Church and the Sunshine Sunday School Class in Dothan. She was preceded in death by her father, George Livingston, her mother, Ila Bell Kirkland Fellows, her husband, James Earl Flowers, two infant children, and two brothers, James Walton Livingston and George Robert Livingston.
Surviving relatives include a sister, Montez Fountain, Webb, AL; several special nieces and nephews.
