ALBANY, Ga. — A recent lookout issued by the Albany Police Department has resulted in the arrest of a suspect believed to be connected to a shooting that took place last month.
Lenall Frazier, 39, was taken into custody by the APD Gang Unit at 11:45 p.m. Saturday on the 600 block of Gaines Avenue, said Phyllis Banks, an APD spokeswoman.
Frazier was wanted in connection with a shooting that took place on the 500 block of Cotton Avenue on Jan. 11. He has been charged with aggravated assault.
A wanted bulletin issued on Frazier a few days after the shooting said he is alleged to have shot two people with a handgun during the course of the incident before possibly fleeing the scene in a dark blue or black Chevrolet Impala.
The bulletin further said Frazier was wanted on three counts of aggravated assault, one count of aggravated battery, one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
