One of the biggest signing moments will be long to Deerfield defensive lineman Patrick Forrestal, who is signing with the Division I U.S. Naval Academy. Forrestal, who helped lead the Knights to the GISA Class AAA state championship this past season, will make it official today during a ceremony at the school’s media center at 3:30 p.m.
Another big signing will take place in Dawson a few hours earlier when Terrell County dual-threat quarterback Jerkerious Scott will ink with FCS Division I UT-Chattanooga in Tennessee. Scott will sign at 10:30 a.m.

At noon today, Albany’s city schools begin their series of signings, first with two from Monroe — Jawaski Randle (DB, Division II Miles College) and Kevin Williams (WR, Division II St. Augustine) — followed by a 1 p.m. signing at Albany High (Emanuel Byrd, QB, Georgia Military) and then a 1:30 p.m. signing at Westover for defensive end Josh Burton, who is headed to Division II Morehouse College in Atlanta.

For the final two signings of the afternoon, the first will take place at Sherwood when offensive lineman Quentravious Cameron will ink with West Georgia Tech at 2 p.m. in the school’s library.
Then at 3 p.m., Pelham will have the biggest single crop of signees Tuesday when it sends six kids to college, four of which — Brandon Smith (LB), Denzel Jackson (LB), Calvin Shelton (DB) and Clifford Stewart (WR) — will attend Selma, Ala.’s Concordia College, which is making a transition to Division II play. Pelham’s other two signees are Norman Givens (NG, West Georgia Tech) and Corey Morgan (OL, LaGrange)
