Albany women arrested in Florida shoplifting ring

PANAMA CITY BEACH, FLA. -- Five Albany women face grand theft charges in Panama City Beach for stealing about $ 7,000 in merchandise from merchants at malls, The News Herald here reported.

According to the beach area paper, one of the women allegedly hit an employee who confronted them Tuesday

Eurica Green, 30, Ashley Anderson, 25, Jamie Anderson, 24, Tchequerea Brown, 24, and Shocka Bishop, 37, conspired together to steal from upscale stores such as Victoria's Secret and Bath & Body Works during the past year. Bishop is suspected by police of assaulting the employee.

An officer spotted the women leaving Pier Park, a 900,000-square-foot shopping and entertainment center in Panama City Beach on Tuesday. The officer stopped the women in their vehicle and recovered about $3,000 in merchandise stolen from Pier Park and $4,000 worth stolen from the Panama City Mall earlier the same day.

Police have said that the women planned to return to Albany to sell the clothing and household goods. Other thefts at the mall last year could be tied to the women, and other Panhandle law enforcement agencies have reported similar thefts.

Panama City Police are also investigating, and more charges could be filed as the women were booked in Bay County Jail.

Just to be fair, Shocka's full name is Shockicorna. yes, really it is. Poor thing, no wonder she has to steal.......

Spreading the Good Life City's reputation all over the south. These women can spend time and money figuring how to enrich their selves with stolen goods but can not take that energy to find employment. Personally I do not think having an strange name gives any one a right to steal.

Until we can figure out what punishment would make people like this consider it too expensive to them personally to do what they are doing, it will continue. People weigh the risk against the reward. Apparently the risk of getting caught for theft didn't outweigh the reward they saw from the theft. We have to be far harsher in our treatment of Criminals, instead of always looking at it as "their but for the Grace of God go I' Which is how most Legislators look at it when making laws. I guess it is hard to enact harsh punishmnet when you might be subjecting yourself or a family member to those conseuences. Otherwise we would have far harsher DUI and driving on a Suspended License laws. Both endanger way more people than any firearm that I know of.

They are all products of the Good Life culture. Products of 2 to 3 generations of their families living on government programs where most everything is handed out by the government. If you never had to perform honest work in your life then you have no understanding or personal morals in regards to stealing from those who work. These young ladies have recieved the best training in the south on how to Try to live off others. I would be curious if any if them actually graduated from DCSS. Also hoe many babies do each have. Albanies Finest!!!

I'll bet they all go to some local church every Sunday too.

Reckon what they heard at church? "Thou Shalt Not Steal"...? or "Yall Deserve Some Reparations" ....?

If they hadn't gone down to Florida to try this...if they had just stayed home here in Albany, they would get off scott free. Up here in Albany, "no weapon formed against you shall prosper" no matter what you do.

Redistribution of wealth makes it to Panama City. The poor, disenfranchised of Albany need that merchandise in order to feel better about themselves, not so downtrodden. Strive to thrive, and all those other waste of time programs.
