ALBANY, Ga. -- Mitchell EMC has confirmed a power outage in east Albany in the vicinity of the Cooper Tire plant.
Mitchell EMC spokesman Chad Carden said that the outage occurred at approximately 11 a.m., but added he had no idea of the extent of the outage or how many people were affected.
"The outage is not widespread, Carden said. "We are working on it now and expect the have power restored shortly."
