BLAKELY -- Mrs. Shirley Ann Cook McMullen, 60, of 89 McMullen Lane, Blakely, Ga. 39823, died Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, Al. Her funeral will be held Friday morning, Feb. 15, 2013 at 11:00 A. M. in the Chapel of Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Horn officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening, Feb. 14, 2013 from 6 PM until 8 PM. Active pallbearers are R.J. Durham, Eddie Thorne, Andrea Blocker, Sean Strayer, Terri Parker and Paul Durham. Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Shellhouse and Johnathan Thorne.
Shirley Ann was born April 21, 1952 in Monticello, Fl., to the late James Matthew (Mack) Cook and Vivla Ann Spence Cook. She was a Lab Technician for the Damascus Peanut Co. in Arlington, Ga. and a member of the Colomokee Baptist Church.
Her survivors include her husband: William Ricky McMullen of Blakely, Ga.; 2 daughters: Brenda Gail Brookins and husband Rodney of Jakin, Ga. and Elizabeth Ann Lacy and Mark Phillips of Blakely, Ga.; 2 sons: Bennie Joe Lacy of Blakely and Anthony Lamar McMullen of Lucille, Ga. She has 5 brothers: Mickey Cook, Crit Cook and Tom Cook- all of Blakely, Ga., Buddy Cook of Sylvester, Ga. and Lane Cook of Tallahassee, Fl. There are 2 sisters: Dot Evans and husband Earvin of Blakely and Diane Cook of Springville, Al. She is also survived by three grandchildren: Brittany Nichole Temples and fiance' Josh Shellhouse- Lucille, Ga., Tiffany Marie Lacy of Headland, Al. and Timmy Charles Lacy of Midland City, Al. and one great grandchild: Brea Paige Lacy.
