ALBANY, Ga. — Albany police responded to at least 44 incidents Thursday into the early hours of Friday, according to available reports. Police responded to incidents including:
— Bernard Collins took off running, left his 12-year-old daughter in his car, and escaped a traffic stop on the 300 block of West Residence Avenue, according to a police report. The report added that Collins made an improper lane change and was driving without a license;
— Saggy pants on the 200 block of Cordele Road;
— Burglaries on the 900 block of North Davis Street, the 1600 block of McArthur Street and the 300 block of Flintside Avenue;
— Motor vehicle theft on the 500 block of North Westover Boulevard;
— Thefts by taking on the 1700 block of Sharon Drive, the 800 block of Cameo Lane and the 300 block of Tremont Avenue;
— Armed robbery on the 600 block of Tift Avenue;
— Soliciting person in roadway for money on the 1100 block of Gillionville Road;
— Loitering on the 700 block of East Broad Avenue;
— Possession of alcohol by a minor on the 1300 block of Bonnyview Avenue;
— Possession of less than an ounce of marijuana on the 1200 block of Lincoln Avenue;
— Disorderly conduct on the 900 block of Mobile Avenue;
— Runaway juveniles on the 200 block of Cordele Road and the 500 block of Ebony Lane;
— Public urination on the 600 block of 10th Avenue;
— Aggravated assault on the 700 block of Corn Avenue;
— Entering auto on the 2300 block of Gail Avenue;
— Battery, vandalism (domestic) on the 2500 block of Belmont Drive;
— Assault (domestic) on the 800 block of Ninth Avenue;
— Battery (domestic) on the 1400 block of Whispering Pines Road.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County Police responded to at least 23 calls Thursday, according to reports. Police responded to incidents including:
— Criminal damage on the 1200 block of Williamsburg Road;
— Animal call, dog bite, on the 400 block of Lumpkin Street;
— Theft on the 400 block of West Third Avenue;
— Vehicle crash on the 2400 block of the Liberty Expressway;
— Family violence on the 2700 block of Spelman Drive and the 300 block of West Third Avenue;
— Wanted person in vehicle on Georgia Power Dam Road.
ALBANY FIRE DEPARTMENT: The Albany Fire Department responded to nine incidents Thursday, including two activated alarms, a trash fire, extrication of a passenger from a vehicle crash, assist EMS, provide lights for Albany Police Department, investigate smell of spoiled food in freezer, a structure fire and an electric short.
